Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21, 1983. She is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Originating from Worthington Ohio, she left high school and moved in Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. Even though she had financial difficulties and in the beginning, she made her acting debut as Rachel's Room's main character. In the following year, she was awarded a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford, the role she played in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace left the show to focus on her acting career. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. She also appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well as, alongside the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) were her reprises of roles. Grace played Shannon on the final episode and two other episodes. In 2013, she was a guest in the sixth episode of Californication. She portrays Faith as a groupie and is also a model the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She is part of the Gyllenhaal clan and the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager, she began to work on small roles with her father and appeared in Donnie Darko alongside her sister. Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her leading performances in the erotic romance comedy drama Secretary (2002) as well as the thriller Sherrybaby (2006) each of which earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination. She gained wider recognition for her role as Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008), thanks to several successful commercials she appeared in during the year 2006. Following her acclaimed performance as a mother who is not married in Crazy Heart (2009), she received the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she starred in comedies and dramatic films: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012. Apart from her character as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she has also appeared as a character in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). One of her most recent roles include the protagonist The Kindergarten Teacher The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal debuted as a writer and director in 2021, with her drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received with the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
