Aisling was born March 16 1984, in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and well-known comedians. She appeared with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea is a popular Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea began her stand-up show in 2011after having appeared as a guest on a variety of Irish television shows and British series from the year 2009. In 2012, she began to regularly appear on sitcoms and sketch shows. In 2012, after she was awarded an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear regularly in various panel shows. She was captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016 to 2017 and was regularly a contestant on the spinoff, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. She has an older sister named Sinead. She is only the second ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. The surname of Bea is in honor of her late father. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who committed suicide when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she was thirteen. She chose the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her deceased father. Bea also published a 2017 article in The Guardian on her family's death experience. Bea as well as her older sister Sinead was raised with Helen Moloney (n e Moloney), a former jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. The family was fascinated by horses and race meetings. Bea started her journey as a tour-guide at the Irish National Stud. However, she realized early on that the racing industry wasn't for her.
