Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both attorneys. As a child she was enrolled in her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was aspired to become a professional actor since she was at the age of six. She studied at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford which is an acting academy that offers part-time classes. She had already performed in numerous Stagecoach and school productions before she turned ten. Casting began in 1999 to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were cast as the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first screen appearance took place with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's release in the year 2001. The film broke all records in terms of opening day and weekend revenues, and was the most-recorded 2001 movie. Reviewers were awed by the performance of the film as well as its story. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her outstanding performance. Emma was later awarded five prizes for her performance in the film.
