Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born to a music-loving family. The music she grew up with was classic and old boleros, and classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves the operas and tangos as well as the dramatic shows that she attends. When she was 16 years old, she began singing and learning music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began to give her more intense training in singing. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. When she moved into the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a teacher and musician, she is committed to numerous community projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana is also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able to share with others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
